why do i have pain during sex? could i have a yeast vaginal infection?

its very difficult for me to get aroused, and i have pain during sex. I usually have discharge that looks like cottage cheese before my period and i know thats a sympton from a vaginal infection. Im not a virgin but right after my bf and i tried to do it i had some blood. Whats happening?

A cottage cheese discharge is often a yeast infection, although it's best to get to a gyno to know for sure. Y.I.s can irritate the vaginal walls making them more prone to tearing from sex, so blood. Of course rough sex can cause bleeding without any problems going on.

If you get a yeast infection (again see a doc to make sure that's what it is) before every period then they are probably linked to either hormonal conditions or behavior that happens around your period, like a change in diet or activity. You can get medicine from your doc, or you can try herbal remedies and a change in diet and behavior. Less sugar, go commando, more water, etc.

Painful sex without an infection is probably just from not being aroused. I would suggest either more/better foreplay, buying some lube, or a change to a partner you actually want to have sex with.
